Friends of WPC are excited to announce our dedicated volunteers who work year round to make sure our organization works effectively and is flourishing. There are various roles that are filled and ones that still need to be. There are many details that must be handled in a non-profit and our volunteers help us meet those needs to allow us to focus on our mission of fighting against human trafficking and changing lives one woman, one child at a time.
Sponsorship Program Coordinator: (NEED)
We are seeking a very passionate individual who is interested in working with women and children who are either survivors of or at risk of being trafficked to be our sponsorship program coordinator (SPC). The main role of the SPC will be to find/search for sponsors for the women and children who are waiting to be sponsored for vocational training or educational support. The SPC will be the bridge between these women/children and their sponsors. They will handle the profiles and stories of the women and children. Dr. Nancy Murphy serves as Executive Director of Northwest Family Life Learning and Counseling Center (NWFL). Since 1989, NWFL, a faith based non-profit agency based in Seattle, WA has been dedicated to assisting individuals and families in finding hope and healing when confronting the pain of domestic violence. This organization offers advocacy and support for abused women and children, a state-certified intervention program for batterers and prevention programs that include marital and pre-marital counseling, individual and couples counseling, workshops and training programs.
